Rider guides

Can I book rides for a parent or someone I care for?

Yes. When you book in the Carevus app, leave “I'm booking this ride for myself” unticked and add the rider's details and how you are related. The ride stays in your account, so you can follow it from your phone.

How to book for someone else

  • Open your provider's Carevus link, or sign in at app.carevus.com.
  • Leave “I'm booking this ride for myself” unticked.
  • Choose how you are related and enter the rider's details.
  • Add their pickup address, any wheelchair needs and a note for the driver.

Follow the ride

The trip shows in your trips list with its status. Once the driver is on the way, the trip page can show the driver's location and an estimated arrival time. You can call the provider or driver from the trip page.

Rides that repeat

If your parent goes to the same appointment often, save the trip as a template after you book. Next time you only choose the date and time.

Good to know

Make sure the rider knows the pickup time and has a phone the driver can call. If the ride is paid by Medicaid or a health plan, the plan may need the rider's own details.
